Shred Day - For the Community

Mar 28, 2019, 13:31 PM by User Not Found

In honor of Earth Day (April 22), U.S. Eagle will host a free Shred Day event for members of the Albuquerque, Bernalillo, Santa Fe, and San Juan communities. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, when you throw paper away, it becomes approximately 33% of the municipal solid waste stream, making the largest component of that waste stream. How can you do your part? Recycle. Recycling paper conserves resources and prevents emissions. Celebrate the end of tax season, and take advantage of secure disposal of sensitive documents.

Shred tax documents, bank statements, documents with private information, and documents you're not sure what to do with but need to get rid of in a secure fashion. Each participant may bring up to two bankers boxes of paper. This free event will also serve local food banks. We are requesting donations of non-perishable food items to donate to: Food Depot (Santa Fe), Rio Grande Food Project (Albuquerque, Bernalillo), and Economic Council Helping Others, ECHO (Farmington).
