How to Give Back to the Community When You Don't Have A Lot of Time
You’ve been wanting to give back to the community for a long time. But if you’re like most people, you must balance work and family obligations, which is a lot sometimes. Here are some simple ways you can start giving back to community, even if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands:
Volunteer in the Workplace
Some employers offer a volunteer program where you can take some paid time off to volunteer. Regardless, volunteering through your workplace is a great way to get to know your co-workers outside of work. Not to mention, it makes for a rewarding team-building activity.

Like, Share, Retweet
Whether you like it or not, we’re constantly glued to our cell phones. Why not use that time to spread awareness for a local charity you align yourself with? Help them gain likes and attention by sharing their social media posts and educating your social media friends and followers on the work they’re doing in the community.
Get Involved with Your Kid’s School
Not only is this a great way to get involved in your kid’s lives and meet other parents, schools are always in need of volunteers. Work with staff and teachers to see what their needs, and what holes you can fill given your skillset and passions.
There’s no doubt juggling all of life’s obligations and competing priorities can be a struggle. But, even if you find yourself running up against the clock, you can still fund ways that fit in to your lifestyle. And let’s face it: generosity is contagious. The more you talk about how much fun you’re having and how good you feel giving back, the more others follow suit. Together, we’re making things better!
