enrichEd® Educational Grants for Local Teachers

$10,000 in Grants to Local Teachers

We know teachers are always looking for ways to expand their instruction and engage their students – but it can be expensive. In fact, studies show that teachers spend about $500 out of their own pockets to purchase supplies for instruction, classroom projects, and more.

US Eagle Federal Credit Union believes that every student should have access to the resources they need to thrive in school. That’s why in collaboration with our community partner, New Mexico United, we have created the Classroom Grant Program to allow teachers to invest in items that enhance the classroom experience.

Why are we doing this?

Education is, and always will be at the forefront of our support pillars. We want to see our local schools implement projects that excite curiosity, deepen understanding and encourage new ways of learning. A lack of funding should never get in the way of that. Our enrichEd program seeks to support New Mexico public school teachers by providing ten educators with $1,000 for educational resources and classroom activities. Let’s just say we want to turn your well-thought-out ideas in to a reality!

In addition to our Classroom Grant Program, we support education by awarding three US Eagle Federal Credit Union scholarships each valued at $2,000 to New Mexico students entering or attending a university or college annually. We are also a proud supporter of the Connected Academy

How do I make my grant application stand out?

Whether you’re applying for our grant program or someone else’s, there are a few things you’ll want to keep in mind to strengthen your application:

  1. Clearly state your need – instead of a shopping list, present the problem you are trying to solve
  2. Be creative – try coming up with a catchy title, in addition to making sure your application highlights your projects sustainability and creativity
  3. Start small, start local – smaller grants may not provide you with the funding to meet your objectives right away, but that doesn’t mean you should pass them up. After all, it’s a step in the right direction. And remember, sometimes slow and steady wins the race.

If you’re a local educator with an idea for a classroom project, we can’t wait to hear about it!

The deadline to complete our Classroom Grant Program application is September 13, 2021. Winners will be notified the week of September 27, 2021. We look forward to your application!
